The popular live video streaming platform Livestream has announced that its service might have been hacked. Livestream adds that its live video streaming platform might have been illegally breached by an unauthorised person. And the hacker might have accessed its customer account database. However, credit card and any other payment information of the users have not been exposed.
The Livestream database holds informal information such as a user’s name, email address, an encrypted version of their password, phone numbers and the customer’s date of birth.
Livestream has avered that the company hadn’t stored any credit card information of the customers or even any confidential details like other payment details on the compromised server. Livestream further adds that the hacker might not be able to decrypt the password as they have been highly encrypted. Still, the company wants its customers to reset their password to avoid any future compromises.

Livestream has partners such as Tesla, The New York Times, and Nasdaq, and over 40 million viewers watching events on its online platform each month. The company has around more than 300,000 registered users as well.
According to some of the Livestream users, it did not put any message over the website about the password reset of which people are disappointed.
